Easter cupcakes

Easter is here and for me that means a lot of Easter treats. Those treats usually contain chocolate and a lot of sprinkles.

Easter reminds me also of spring and spring is for me a big ball with pastel colors. I really like spring time. It's just so colorful and happy and everyone is in a good mood. The only thing I hate about spring is that I get hay fever and that can get annoying sometimes.

But what I really wanted to show you is a new recipe for some Easter cupcakes. And that means that it is really easy to make and everyone can do it.

This recipe is based on another one I've already made before.

You'll need...

...115g butter
...vanilla bean
...400g sugar
...3 eggs
...3dl milk
...2tsp baking powder
...400g flour

Preheat the oven to 200° C.

Melt the butter in a pot and add the vanilla bean while the butter is warm. Let this sit for about 2 minutes and then put the mixture and the sugar in a bowl. Mix this together and then add the eggs and the milk. When this is mixed add the baking powder and flour. Blend the flour not to long otherwise the muffins won't go up.

Take half of the dough and color it in pink and the other half in purple. I just put the dough in a piping  bag so I could control it a bit better.

Layer the dough on top of each other ► purple-pink-purple-pink

Take a skewer and go in circular motions to make a marble effect. Don't mix to much because you don't want the colors to blend.

Bake those muffins for 20 minutes ☻

On top I used creme cheese frosting...

...400g cream cheese (Philadelphia)
...1cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
...1tsp vanilla extract

Mix this together and put in in the fridge.

Decorations...

...1cup candy melts (white)
...little bit of pink food coloring

Melt the candy melts in the microwave and color them in. I used a tiny amount of food coloring so it gets a creme color. Put it in a piping bag and cut of a tiny bit so the tip is very thin.

Take some wax paper so the chocolate won't stick. I used a bunny template so every bunny looks the same.

I made some eggs too.

Let this set for an hour and then you can remove it.

If the muffins are cooled down you can put the icing on top and then add the chocolate decor.

This is what they look like inside...:

stracciatella muffins

Guests love a good cupcake. It's always nice to have a nice little cake or some cupcakes in the house. Today I'll show you one of my cupcake recipes.

If you didn't know already - I love cupcakes. That's why I always make some.

I love ice cream too, especially stracciatella. This is vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate pieces inside.

I made up a recipe for stracciatella muffins and I want to show it to you. This recipe is for 24 muffins.

You'll need...
...115g butter
...450g sugar
...3 eggs
...3dl milk
...1 1/2tsp baking soda
...1 vanilla bean
...450g of flour
...100g of chocolate

Preheat the oven to 200° C

Put the butter and the vanilla bean in a pot and let it heat up

After that you put the mixture into a bowl with the sugar in it.

Take the rest of the ingredients and mix them as well.

Fill the cupcake mold about 2/3 full. Bake the muffins for 20 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Topping...
...put candy melts on top while the muffins are warm, so the chocolate melts.

Lately I've been thinking that I should make a "online baking book" here on my blog.

Here you can find it ☛

Hopefully I'll post more baking recipes ☀︎

felt pen picture

A few days ago I got the idea to make some new art for my room. My room is pretty white and that's why I want to have a pop of color. This DIY took me about 30 minutes and it is very easy to make. So let's get started :)

You'll need...

...canvas (I used 20cm*20cm)
...felt pens (colors of your choice)
...spray bottle with water
...tissue
...black felt pen

First you take your canvas and you doodle on it with all your different colors. I drew some lines and triangles.

Afterwards you spray some water on the canvas so it looks like tie dye.

Then I took some tissue to remove the leftover water. Let it dry for 10 minutes.

When it is dry you can write anything you want on the canvas. I wrote burn 'cause it was in my head :)

This "art piece" gives my room that pop of color that I really want for summer. Yes, I know that here in Switzerland it's still winter but summer comes....

Changing...

Hallo zusammen,

Und meine Internetseite heisst ab jetzt   ►  my nice little lifestyle

Study Hacks #2

alles in Agenda einschreiben
